About

I have always felt at home in nature and am lucky that I have lived mostly next to Pennington Flash Country Park, Leigh. I am an accredited Breathworks Mindfulness teacher. I have worked for nearly thirty years in the arts, developing professional, community, health and dance in education and performance projects. More recently I developed a visual and environmental side to my work and projects and participation outdoors to support health and wellbeing.

As a Carer who has chronic pain, before I attended the Breathworks Mindfulness for Health course in 2018 I feel I was surviving, now I am flourishing. I still wake up with pain and responsibilities and now have skills, tools, practices, and experience to manage these and have a happier, more fulfilled life. Learning how to be mindful and caring of myself also makes me a much better Carer. When my Dad, who had Alzheimer’s and COPD was at the end of his life, with complex care needs, during the pandemic, which reduced social care support, my mindfulness practice was hugely important in being a resource for managing my pain and challenging daily life.
